November Meeting -  Pelion Airport - 11/16/2014

     Our final chapter meeting of 2014 was held at the EMT/Deputy substation at Pelion Airport (6J0) on November 16th. After a lunch of hotdogs with fixings, chips, and iced tea (along with food from some confused visitors), we held a short business meeting. Two new members, John Leonhardt and Jack Starling, recently joined our chapter for 2015, and several current members paid 2015 dues. Also, Bud Coward joined back in October. Welcome Bud, John, and Jack ... we are happy to have you with us. We then discussed our Fall Fly-in held at Gilbert Airpark (SC45) on Saturday, October 18th. Members agreed that the fly-in was a great success, and we had many compliments on the food. A new slate of chapter officers was elected for 2015. They are: President - Eddie Price; VP - Leonard Self; Secretary - Kevin Wallace; Treasurer - Pelham Moss. Don Schmotzer was also reaffirmed as our Safety Advisor, and Randy Berry will remain Chapter Webmaster. Other appointments may be made by the new president at a later date. Fall Fly-in -  Gilbert Airpark (SC45) - 10/18/2014

     We had a great time, good food, and wonderful camaraderie at our Fall Fly-in held at Gilbert Airpark (SC45) on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Approximately 30 planes flew in and about 100 people were fed. The comments overheard were all very positive. The weather would have been perfect except for a rather stiff wind, but fortunately, it was out of the west almost directly down runway 27. Best of all, the fly-in was a safe one.
