We are proud to have John Pipkin as a member of our chapter. John is a CFI with many flying hours to his credit. He is now retired, but he has been an FAA employee, a corporate jet pilot, and a bush pilot at various points in his past. John is now a volunteer pilot with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF). In that capacity, he occasionally goes to Haiti and flies missions there. In fact, he and his wife, Joyce, were there during the big earthquake, but fortunately, they were spared their lives through a quirk of fate. John gave the chapter a presentation on the devastation in Haiti at our February, 2010 meeting and promises to give us an update in an upcoming meeting in 2011.
