

Jim has been working diligently on this plane for over a year. It has been almost completely renovated, including structural repairs, new covering, new paint, rebuilt engine ... the works! Click on the photos to enlarge them.
Jim's passion for flying was kindled by his father, a WWII Army Air Corps pilot, who owned a Taylorcraft in the 60s and 70s. Jim says "I like the only proper planes ... which are tail wheel planes ... period".
He and his wife, Patti, have one son, Charlton, age 17, who attends Lexington High School and plays varsity baseball. Jim is also a long time member of EAA Chapter 242. He belongs to the AOPA and is a field representative at Pelion Corporate Airport for the AOPA . He also belongs to the NRA and is a member of Saint Stephens Lutheran Church. He owns and operates Palmetto Bay Builders. His crews specialize in residential remodeling.
