David Nieves is a private pilot and owns a half interest in a Piper Cherokee (see above). He is also a sergeant at the Lexington County Sheriff's Department. In that role, David is active in community programs, especially those involving youth and aviation. He has been very active in organizing flights for youth, especially through the "EAA Young Eagles" program, along with cooperation from our chapter and others. In the photo above, David is shown with two computers donated for community services. We salute David for his fine service to our county, his community, and our chapter. Therefore, we made him an honorary member of our chapter in 2013.
